The 'A' Button on the centre console

Featured Replies

What is the 'A' button for on the centre console? I had not noticed it until today

(I just drive my Kamiq, there are yet more bells and whistles to be discovered!)

The Button to switch off Stop / Start if you want it off.

I realise that admitting you haven't got a clue how your car works is a bit of a tall order, but there is an instruction book you could look at without anybody else knowing.

Lots of helpful pictures and everything 😘

There is no instruction book unless you can up/download one.Besides I am too old to devote myself to learning an instruction book anyhow, matey.

As wih my quality air guns I just fuel the toad-mobile and squeeze the trigger and off I go to have as much fun as I can squeeze out of a gallon.

Everyday is a school day.

I never knew Skoda's no longer came with a printed owners manual.

Me neither. My 2021Karoq did. Half the fun of a new car is taking the manual into the bathroom and reading it ‘til your legs go dead.

My 2022 Kodiaq came with a printed owners manual.

I got a book with my Karoq in October.

Everyone does unless it is forgotten to be put in at a dealership or checked for,

sometimes they are in the under seat storage when there is under seat storage.

Sometimes they are on the salespersons desk with the keys and other stuff when a good salesperson does a hand over.

They ask the new owner if they are happy with everything, have any questions and can they go over the controls with them.

Sometimes a salesperson even knows how controls work in the cars.... They might even have looked in an Owners Manual.

With my 2020 Kamiq SEL, I received a driver's manual and there is also an extra version to download to cover some areas in more detail.

As with any driver's manual, it covers more than you need, e.g. my car has Amundsen radio but the manual covers this and the Bolero.

As cars are now built to order by computer in effect, I would have thought it should be possible to provide a manual  tailored to the car being built. with no redundant pages annd no need for a download to fill in gaps.

I downloaded and read the all the manuals to both my Skoda's before even ordering them.

This also helped to make sure I ordered the extra equipment that I would use.

At the same time I didn't order anything that would be a waste of money / not used.

Thanks, AG Falco

You must have MyŠKODA app manual on there

Quite a lot of manufaturers are no longer including printed instruction manuals with their cars.  Even some Premium makes.  Its all to save the planet you know lol.

I totally agree. On studying the manual which came with my used 69 plate Kamiq SEL I got confused trying to find things in the book which weren't on the car. Also the icons in the printed manual are so small I needed a magnifying glass. Maybe I should download the online version and zoom in on the screen.

Left just after the little yellow idol to the north of Kathmandu. I know it well.

To a little wooden cross beneath the town,

Where a broken hearted woman tends the grave of Mad Karoo,

Whilst the little yellow God looks sadly down.
