Decided to give my new Vrs a make over, what d'ya think!?

l_Skoda_WRC_Car_11.jpg

Okay, so I don't own it, but I have to say, I do like it....

Anyone think this is "actually" possible to do on a standard Vrs?

Tom

Anything is possible providing the right budget. There are loads of companies specialised in decals, so they wont be much of a problem. The spoilers might be a bit more difficult, but I'm sure there are tuning companies in the Czech republic, etc selling these. Maybe even Skoda Motorsport division.

I reckon they should jut do a limited-run Fabia WRC and stop messing around.

And NOT a diesel ;)

Hi Quinten,

I've started looking into the decals and as you say, there are loads of companies out there, custom made and everything, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm looking into the spoilers, not sure I like the "whale tail" on the back tho mite have to give that a miss  Would I have any problems with the adverts? Trademark/Copyright issues?

I can't see there would be any reason why this kinda thing wouldn't be allowed on the road, easily findable in the car park too :p

Sometimes stickers can look tacky, but this is very nice... Love the white alloys....

Tom.

I wouldnt worry about copyright, are they really going to chase you when you're effectively giving them free advertising?

I can see one problem though, surely the base car would need to be white ?

Geoff,

Oh yeah, good point!

I take it the Vrs doesn't come in white, so it'll need a respray, damn.

I see what you mean about the free advertising, companies can still be a pain in the a** though when it comes to their "image".

Tom.

I'm happy for anyone to correct me, but as far as i know the Fabia RS comes in the same 4 colours as the Octavia RS, and white isnt one of them ;)

Buy the cheapest Fabia you can get that has a decent shell.

1.8T transplant

bodykit

suspension, wheels and brakes

stickers

Sarcasm & Irony are rather difficult to convey in text ;)

Eric in AAT is sourcing me the WRC bodykit from German it is around

That's Audi territory... :D

There was a garage in France who modded a pug 406 so it was an exact replica of the sporty model in the Taxi series of movies. He didn't even have it on the road, just outside as a presentation thingy. Luc Besson sued him and he had to take the car off the forecourt. And he was just really showing how "good" a pug could be when tuned up (prolly a dubious fact though ;) )

LOL.. that pic bottom right.. sooo photochopped

Hmmm, those sideskirts look ok, wonder if they will fit without the widearch bits...
