Audi A8 interior lights

Featured Replies

Has anyone replaced the interior lights of their furby with the Audi A8 ones with the two red led's? They shine a red light onto the dash at night? I can get the white coloured unit but the furby has a dark roof and grey unit and white wouldn't look right.

Not sure about the A8, but I think it has been done by a few paople with the Passat W8 one.

Yup fitted it to my old fabia (see sig pics) and its now in the octy... yet to fit it to the golf... a brilliant piece of kit for 'finishing' off the car.

Ah ok I'm getting confused. So it's the Passat W8 lights I need. Does anyone know the part numbers that I will need at all? And are the units available in the grey colour or have you guys just used the white units?

You can do it yourself too, although I chose to use white LED's and hide them:

file.php?n=35&w=l

any articles?

Think you mean the W8 light unit from the old Passat. I put one in my old Fabia, looked quite good IMO.

Just get one and paint it black with some matt black paint, the type useed to paint model cars or planes with (Hummol is it :confused: )... looks spot on.

One thing though is that it dosen't really illuminate the dash, more the gear kn0b, handbreak and seats - still looks :cool: , and helps bring the interior into the 21st C.

Edit: Part Numbers and a fitting guide can be found here;
