Rotary control in glovebox

Featured Replies

Recently acquired a used Kamiq and have noticed a rotary control mounted inside the glovebox (see photo). I cannot find any reference to this in the Owners Handbook.

Can anyone please enlighten me as to its purpose?

Thanks

I reckon it’ll for cooling it when the AirCon is on. You can select the level of chilling in the glovebox - ideal for that bottle of fizz for the picnic on the beach 😊

Setting the air flow so cooling to your glove box / for anti chocolate melting / drinks can etc if the AC is working.

I’ve not got my Kamiq yet but I presume it does the same as in my Golf. It controls how much, if any, air is ducted to the glovebox from the aircon. Handy for keeping a bottle/can cold.

And unfortunately it was one of the first things to be deleted from the launch spec along with the removable boot light . I don't have it in mine which was registered in November 2020.

Thanks for the info, everyone. It will be useful during this year's week of summer.😉

I think it was deleted well before then.  I ordered my Kamiq in January 2020 an there was no mention in the spec about A/C in the glove box, something I had found useful in the Fabia the Kamiq was replacing.  However, there is a post in the forum on how to fit this retrospectively.
