BLT Vrs Egr delete

Featured Replies

Hello guys, I am about to do an Egr delete on my Fabia. My EML light comes on and off intermittently. I have bought an Egr delete kit, the small one since I want to retain the ASV. As I have read on the forums, some older threads though, some people are suggesting it’s very hard/impossible to map out the EML on a BLT engine, unlike on ASZ, some people even stating that the turning off of EML means turning it off for any future Engine related error, in essence mapping it out completely. And only an idiot would do that!

So… Can the Egr be mapped out on a BLT engine without the EGR related EML. I intend to keep the ASV? As some reading led me to believe, the problems with EML staying on occur if you want to remove both Asv and Egr. Egr is not electronic at all, it’s the Asv. Am I right? What’s your take on this?

One more thing… I have bought an ARL turbo and Ibiza Cupra Tdi intercooler and pipes. Can I put it on and use a proven Stage 1 Arl tune for 180-190hp, because all other things being the same, once I install the turbo and IC, it will be the same mechanically as an ARL engine…It would be less expensive than having a custom tune?

Yes you can do that and map out the EGR at the same time.

All right… I jave just washed my used Seat Sport Intercooler, and noticed that it leaks water down at the bottom when I fill it up. 😞 Can it ne rewelded there and ready to go 😁? It needs to hold 180-190hp

Yes, of course it can be welded, it's down to who you use really.

Bit of old data that may assist.
