Spare wheel query???

Morning peeps,,

another daft question sorry…. My 2010 VRS has no spare wheel or even one of them repair kit things (if I does have one from new) I’d much prefer a space saver or alloy but geeze they kinda expensive 🤣,,, what size space saver could I get 16”,17”,18” would anything less that 18” foul on the calliper etc

The Octavia MK2 VRS uses 312mm diameter front brake discs. Therefore 16" rims will clear the front brake calipers.

 

One option is to use a 205/55R16 tyre fitted to a 6.5Jx16 ET50 steel rim as a spare.

Another option is to use a 205/55R16 tyre fitted to a 6Jx16 ET50 steel rim as a spare.

The narrower 6J rim is generally used for winter tyres, where you can also use them with snow chains. However, both the 6J rim or 6.5J rim could also be used for a spare.
