Enough is Enough

Goodbye

My first 3 Octavia Cars I enjoyed.

This one is a lovely car.

But with a Data Connection Over Air connectivity to Skoda and an Infotainment System Designed or Managed or Both by idiots.

2 hour journey of Infotainment nightmare, surprised I didn't cause an accident.

So before I say something I'm logging off this site, and unless it's a flipping second coming I will not be buying a Skoda again, I feel sorry for the dealers as Skoda UK the Brand is not what it was.

Gord help drivers going forward, that's if you can get your built to order car delivered...

Take care & Goodbye

Ps have noted the local police have Octavia as traffic police vehicles 😂

I can sympathise with your ongoing dilemma as you're not the only person to have such problems.

Hopefully you're not blaming Briskoda for the Skoda issues though? 😜

I love my vRS but it will be the last Skoda (or indeed any VAG car) I shall ever buy. And this is my 8th.

The problems my car has suffered although not as bad as some have ranged from mildly annoying, such as heated seats repeatedly turning themselves on serveral times before they get the message, to downright bloody dangerous, such as adaptive cruise suddenly braking when you are well into an overtake at 70mph because it thinks you are abroad.

They've been out what, 18 months now? And still there are problems.

Not good enough and I won't be back for more.

I think the problems are likely due to an accumulation of negative factors in recent years.

The huge fines resulting from dieselgate, not to mention the resulting internal disruptions and loss of personnel due to purges and low moral.

The enormous investments that have had to be made in EV design development and manufacture and associated battery tech and production.

It's not that it's a recent thing either. Remember it took them an age to get their vehicles/engines accredited for WLTP standards due to lack of expertise/resources.

All those and simply not testing properly, especially for RHD models.

VW has cunning stunts and since they pee off suppliers and contractors and blame them they thought 'lets take software in house'

How hard can that be after all we have never sourced reliable water pumps since we started fitting them yet and we do not build your own,

but we will become software developers.
