Picked up our new SEL a couple of weeks ago, and just had occasion to use the satnav. No matter what I do, I can't get it to give voice commands. Am I missing something?

Are you using “OK Laura” or steering wheel button to activate?

I'm just selecting a route on the display.

 

Not sure if it's like the system in the Touareg but I had to first go through a setup procedure where you had to repeat a set of words/phrases so it could recognise your voice 

I have only had my new Fabia two weeks. It is a lovely vehicle BUT the information system is totally counter-intuitive and I am still struggling to master it even with the help of my 16 year old grandson who agrees it is basically three systems cobbled together . The Skoda salesman also has no idea how to make everything work.

Don’t laugh but is your volume up ok?

Had a partial result today. Asked Laura to calculate route and managed somehow to get turn by turn voice instructions but ONLY when I press the silver wheel on the RHS of steering wheel. Absolutely bizarre! I'll ask dealer but not hopeful.
