Bilstein B8 Vrs 220 Estate

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I own a Vrs 220 dsg tfsi estate 2014 model

I'm wondering if anyone on here has upgraded their suspension setup to billstein b8s (with eibach pro springs)

I'm currently at the point where I have two part numbers for the front and rear ready to order

35-229902

24-229937

The last sticking point before I purchase is whether to order the 55mm or 50mm struts

Thanks all

I think all VRS's are 55mm. If you don't have a Vernier or other caliper can you find a sewing tape measure or IKEA tape? You can get the circumference and work out the diameter from that.

Or a wire coat hanger bent to match the diameter and measure off the car.

Thank you I'll give that a go

VRS are all 55mm struts.

i have the same car (2016) as you and upgraded with bilstein b12 kit (i think it was b12 rather than b8 - search some of my earlier posts as i took photos of the part numbers)

bigger difference in handling is upgraded front and rear arbs but factor in cost of new droplinks as well as the stock ones didn't handle the increased work through them after my ARBs were upgraded

5E5 - seached my gmail to find the ebay link - bought from germany ( tunershop-worldwide on ebay) . one of the shocks was faulty from the factory - it delayed fitting by a few days but getting a replacement and returning the faulty one was straightforward
