Bolero radio fault

Featured Replies

Hi, I wonder if anyone else has had an issue with the Bolero radio. I have an Octavia diesel VRS 2010. The problem is I switch the ignition on in the morning and the radio comes on but all stored stations are lost with no sound. I am unable to find any stations manually or on auto, the CD fails to play tooTurning on and off fails to solve the issue. The strange thing is at lunch time I start the car and the radio works as normal with all stations stored and cd working. I checked the phone  mute but does not seem to be the issue. Is anyone able to help before I take it to a dealer.

I had something like that a few years when the can bus to the radio was working in single wire mode. Removing and then reapplying the power would reset the radio for months.

I can't tell you how to fix it as the garage spotted the single wire mode and fixed it for free whilst looking at another problem.

A fault code is delivered when in single wire mode.
