Auto Light Switch Issue

Featured Replies

Hello, I am new in this forum, so If I forgive me if I posted in the wrong position xd.

I have a Skoda Octavia mk2, the car came with 3 position light switch (without auto position). So, I have got another light switch (I think it's Passat on as it lights red) with an auto position. When I switch on auto, the car keeps lighting even in daylight. How ever I have RLS. So, I used to check the measuring blocks to see the results. Here is the result of auto position "implausible", anyone can help me about this please?

One last thing, the RLS was 0 result, cause I took this screenshot at night but at, daylight it reaches to 9 (if I can remember).

Kind Regards,

Thanks.

I think you have to add an extra wire to make it work . Its too long ago since I done mine .

It goes from the switch to a controller nearby but cant remember properly. I know the patch wire (ex ebay) was too short and had to join two together

I am kinda aware about this info. from other posts, but I can't find which pins should I connect between the light switch and the controller ...

Did you figure it out?

I did the same mod on my mk2 FL which already had a RLS.

If I remember correctly it's pin 29 or 50 on the BCM (Don't quote me on this).

I had to separate the connector (the outer connecter has 2 connectors within) and then I could see the pin numbers.

Yes, done it.
Thanks.
