Hello

 

I went to open the rear seat handle to open the back seats to get inside the boot. The handle just come up loose but wont open the back seat now on one side.

 

There a easy way to fix this and to get in to the handle to try fix it.

This is the Fabia estate but probably the same (or similar) seat catch....

Driver side rear.

Also here - https://www.skoda-parts.com/catalog/fabia/spare-parts-579.html - this is where I got mine, but they're in Czech Republic so I bought two of each (bound to break again, and they're dead cheap) and a few other bits and pieces, to justify shipping charges.

 

Great service, though.

I managed to fix the one I had something got trapped between the seat and the catch. I open the catch with a screw driver then removed the lever switch nothing wrong with that and refitted.

 

It's good as new thanks for the help it was just trapped in the end.

The left side is no longer available from Skoda, I checked in to get one and was informed that due to the age of the car 07 plate that part is no longer available. I tried VW dealer locally I got the same response, if your not bothered use the same part number and forget the colour code at the end {47H}  they can get them in, I waited 2 days and they are actually chaper than some of the robbers on ebay.

  The part number on my invoice is W6Q0885643A7. THE COST WAS £4.65 +VAT £5.58 inc VAT.
