Skoda superb android auto

Featured Replies

Hi all

Have just bought a skoda superb 2018 estate.

The one thing I really wanted to be able to do is connect my phone to use maps, calls and spotify.

Annoyingly my huawei p30 does not work with the android auto even though I have rolled back to an old version. My husbands iPhone works fine with the airplay.

Im tempted to get a new phone anyway but which ones work with the android auto play? I dislike apple so want to stick with android.

Or have any of you got a huawei to work?

I know i can use Bluetooth but I want to be able to control songs via car not the phone.

I've used various Google PIxel phones with Android Auto over the years and they've been fine for me.

I would expect most major brands (Samsung etc) to work perfectly. I think Huawei has issues since the US ban, although saying that, I think the P30 predates that...

What do you mean by 'it doesn't work'?

I have a P10 Plus and that works fine so the theory is that yours being newer should have no issues. Have you tried a different cable?

Yes have tried multiple cables.

My husbands iPhone works as soon as you plug it in. Not the same for the huawei. It won't even let me select android auto from the menu.

Turns out the Bluetooth let's you control the music via steering wheel but would really like Google maps on the display.

Probably due to the issue re Google...if you use Play Store for apps then it should work. If you have to use Huawei then no A auto.

Generally phones from around 2019/20 use HMS not Google

Same here. Pixel 3 XL working well with a Passat 2020 MIB3, Erisin Android HU with AA add-on and the Superb SEL with MIB2 the other day
