Superb III 2.0 TSI DSG 2020 190 service schedule

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone have the Skoda service  schedule intervals and spec? Ive got a service plan but i gather there are additional chargeable jobs to be done. This would be year 2.

I searched the forum and Škoda but can't find an official document.

TIA

Yes.

Is this a new car and the first service?

Did they not give you details of what your plan includes.

How long does the plan cover?

So is this the car on Variable Servicing so the first service @ 2 years.?

Oil & Inspection Service.    Not much done and a Pollen Filter.

Is the car not changed to Fixed Servicing for the Service plan.  So at 1 year / 9,400 miles for the first service?

It's been serviced before it was a demonstrator. Year 2 tomorrow. It's on fixed servicing. The plan i bought says what it covers but i have seen in the past a Škoda document listing additional chargeable work.

Is this Skoda Approved Used then with 2 Services.   Fixed Interval Services, not Variable / Flexible.

First get the record of what they did to this Ex Demonstrator.  Did they do an Oil Service and anything else.

Was it reset to Fixed Servicing or is it on Variable so actually the next service was 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles later.

So @ 2 years the Oil & Inspection Service and a Pollen filter change.  The plan should cover that.

Next year that and extended Scope.

Brake Fluid change due, or at least it should be tested, not just the level checked.

Haldex at 3 years / 30,000 miles costs extra.

VAQ Front Diffs @ 3 years / 30,000 miles.

DSG at 40,000 or 80,000 miles is extra.

Spark Plugs are extra.

Air Filter are Extra.    Etc etc.  Brake Services and actual maintenance / preventative maintenance stuff.

Thankyou for all the information. Does anyone have an official škoda service schedule not just what's included in the plan. I know I've seen one before but can't find it again.

TIA

Get a dealership to print off the work sheets.  or use 'erWIN'.

There is not an Official Service Schedule.

Now in the Website from Skoda in my first post they say Schedule.

It is Recommendations.    A Skoda Approved Used car with Full Main Dealer Service History might not have the Brake Fluid changed or the Haldex, VAQ, DSH Serviced as per Guidelines / Recommendations.

The Chart gives an idea on DSG but that is wet clutch, the cam belts / water pumps.

Cars 3-10 years old.   A guide only.

On these later cars with the Digital Service System, what is required and desired can be printed out as a job sheet by the dealer or an independant garage which is registered with erWin for DSS access.

Thankyou all for the information. Can i get access to erWin over never heard of it.

Just a payment of a small fee for access. Someone will explain.

Your cars servicing is not complex or involved.

They will be upselling you AC Servicing, Fuel Additives and any old stuff that makes them money, even saying the brakes are 80% worn.

The important stuff is shown above in the charts.

There’s not a lot to do to these cars apart from regular oil changes and a general check over for worn brakes, tyres etc. DSG oil change at 40k, Spark plugs at 60k, pollen filter when you feel like it (it’s an easy DIY job anyway) and ditto air filter, those last two depending on where the car is used.

Erwin has the factory maintenance procedures and manual, including the service requirements. I think it’s about 8 euros for an hour, during which you can save and print lots of stuff. https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showLogin.do

First couple of services I think are purely oil and filter, can't remember when cabin filter is due but failry sure thats down the line. Air filter is three years or 60,000 miles and hydraulic fuids (brake and clutch if not auto) at 3 year then 2 years cycle after that.

PS you will probably be told "Skoda UK recomends" that cam belts are changed at 5 years or 60,000 miles.

Don't believe a word of it.

I do my own servicing so paid for access to ERWIN (Skoda's on line comprehensive Mantainence manuals) for a day and printed the lot out (you can't download or pdf them sadly but you can print!

the acutal Skoda enigne manual for my 14. TSI ACT 2017 states Cambelt should be inspected at each service after 5 years or 60,000 miles for damage, cracking, fraying etc) and relplaced if there are signs of damage or at ......

Don't beleive the dealer if he says your car can only do fixed servicing like mine did (on the 1.4 Tsi ACT) !

Check the build sticker under the boot carpet and in your printed handbook.

It will probably have a QI code of either...

QI4 = Fixed interval servicing = 15,000 km = 9320 miles!

or

QI6 - ESI Extended Service Intervals

if it says QI6 you can have it set to extended service intervals as the code means you engine has an oil quality sensor and as long as Long Life (VW 508 00 spec) Oil is used at the service they just need to tell the car "High Quality Oil" was fitted at the service and you'll be on the extended service intervals.

Note when your car comes back from sevice it will take about 300 miles of driving before it comes up with an estimated distance and time till your next service.

this will adjust depending on how hard you drive it and ambienct conditions, how much combustion products build up in the oil etc.

untill 300+ miles it will just show --- as the miles to next service and same for time.

Sorry but as far as your memory.  It is a bit off as to what Skoda / VW Uk has now.  But you can only remember what you read or hear.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BELIEVE ALL YOU HEAR OR READ.  Especially from VW Group.

Fixed Servicing as in Oil Changes was CitiGo, and 1.4 TSI PHEV,s.  Anything else was a choice.  MANY WITH A PHEV running without charging are doing Variable / Flexible oil changes.

Long Life oil of VW508 00 / 509 00 is not backward compatible. 0w 20 FS IV

So the Oil is VW504 00 / 507 00 for pre changes.   When VW were trying for WLTP certification.   If no GPF, no need for VW508 00 with the TSI.

0w 30 FS III or 5w 30 FSIII for Fixed or Variable.  VW502 00 fine for Fixed Service TSI. Not TDI,s.

There are changes to newer VW Group vehicles including Skoda.

The Brake Fluid change at 3 years and each 2 went back to at 2 years and each 2.  Pollen Filter is as 2 years / 20,000 miles, or sooner.

VAQ (Front diff) went from at 3 years / 30,000 miles to @2 years.

Air Filters should be checked at every service. Main Dealers might go by 6 years / 60,000 miles and not replace. Or look.

They are not really doing Servicing @ Maintenance, lots is just Oil & Filter Services and look see and report.  & even up-sell, brake pads / discs, AC service, Fuel Additive.

Take with a pinch of salt. DSG / CAMBELT schedule, question.
