RetroFit Rear USB

Anyone successfully retro fitted rear USB ports in a Kamiq? (Stock or other)

My "new" 2021 Kamiq did not come with the rear USB ports and having a teenager that spends most of her time on her phone makes it a necessary item for the wife and I to have a peaceful journey without the usual "my phone is going flat" complaints...

I've seen a couple of mentions on this section and the Scala section about using part number 3G5 035 954 A and the associated housing (654 863 916) - apparently this fits into the rectangular block and not the stock area.

Has anyone done this? If so, did the above solution fit into the rectangular blanking plate and was the wiring already in place or was there extra work to be done?

And what about retrofitting into the stock position with stock parts?

Any other advice?

Thanks in advance

Regards

Marc

was this ever succesful? I have a 3d printer to print caps and such, but have no idea if there are correct wires in that console.

Currently preparing for retrofit, purchased cable and cover, but not yet installed. Waiting warm weather conditions to work with plastic parts.
