Skoda Superb Mk III, 2018 oil leak, confused ?

Featured Replies

Hello, Guys!

I'm new in here and wanted to know more about oil leaks, what I found from car. Car has 105K km, oil have been changed at service as Škoda service needs.

What can cause this and do I have to worry ?

For 105,000 kilometres I’d say that’s nothing more than normal misting of oil from a few seals and the crank seal.

nothing I’d be worried about, looks worse because dirt is stuck to it that Is all

As long as it's not dripping after driving, I would not worry a lot.

Thought to repair it on dealer. Dont know how it's in english ? but it needs to change "simmerling" - How to call it in english :) ?

They going to lower gearbox to change it.

I am assuming the rear main oil seal if they are dropping the gearbox. But personally I wouldn’t even bother, that’s not an oil leak just a sweat from 100,000 miles and literally 10s of millions of rotations, I’d say you’re fine.

And you have the best parking surface for oil leaks, you could park a 60/70's British car or motorcycle on that and it would still look good!
