Hi everyone, my fabia developed a gearbox leak over the last few months. At first i was told that if i refill once or twice a year i should keep this car functional for a long time, but now, just 3 months later, it's throwing fault codes and putting me in neutral (after it was refilled once and looked over).

 

Only code i could catch live is:

P0801"transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch "A" circuit range/performance"

All with flashing "D" on dash and no drive for 10 seconds.

 

Now, i would like to fix this as a grenaded gearbox will write off this car, however i can't find the part number for the leaking seal anywhere? Closest thing i can find is loads of refurb kits on ebay for the mechatronic at £150 for seals or £300+ for the accumulator housing, that does seem to contain a similar seal.

There's a fella on this very forum who does some refurbs I seem to remember. In the context of cracked housings.  Don't have time to search out a name right now, but he sounded like he'd done a few successfully.

 

Some DQ200 from 2013-2015 have a service campaign action '34h5'. And this was and is a software update because of the failures which was a pressure issue.  There is a thread in the yeti section last week and it has the link to  the member that sells the Kits and also the company that refurbishes the MCU,s and boxes.  I will bump that as I can not link it now.

Mine seems to have been replaced entirely. I got 1 receipt in the car for replacement mechatronic and mechanic said that gearbox is painted black + scratched on a new serial number, meaning replaced as well.
