Driver's side rear door lock actuator has failed and needs replacing. Does anyone know the part number or where i can get an aftermarket replacement?  It's for a 57 plate MK2. TIA

If the car has central locking, I think the part number you need is  5J0 839 016.

Lots of cross referenced pattern parts here: 5J0 839 016 Door lock OEM VW, AUDI, SKODA, SEAT (autodoc.co.uk)

Maybe pick your favourite from amongst those, copy that manufacturers part number into ebay and see what comes up from within UK.

The compatibility table is confusing me as it lists 2008 models as 6Y, but as far as I can tell it looks the same as the OEM part you linked me to, which according to this is suitable for Mk II up to the facelift:

At that price it's a good deal less than the dealer so I'm tempted to have a go...
