I’m thinking of buying the Carista plug in so I can tinker with some of the S3’s settings that are otherwise unreachable. Principally I want to permanently disable auto stop/start. 
 

Are there any other settings that are worth changing? Or any hidden features that aren’t enabled by default? 

Depends on what year superb you have if you can disable start/stop or not.

 

personally I would get vcds, not carrista

Don't bother with a Carista - get an OBDEleven or VCDS (genuine).

 

There is a whole thread about "tried and tested" coding for the Superb mk3.

Use the search tool.

 

If u have a facelift Superb - proceed with caution as SFP means a lot of things can't b tweaked/modified via code changes

I’d agree with both above. VCDS or OBDeleven. 

As someone who has both, don't bother with Carista. It's cheaper from the outset but it will still require a subscription to even do basic code reading (which is just linking to a Google search of the error code)

 

OBDEleven is far superior, but you obviously have the subscription model. Very easy to use and most major tweaks are already there in the app.
