Skoda Superb 2.0 Tdi CR 140 SE Rear Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

I have just bought the car above and it has the Bolero head unit, my parking sensors don't look anything like the screenshots I have seen, its more like a bunch of lines behind the car graphic in monochrome, and I don't know if they work, the documentation in the manual refers you to the Radio Manual, which refers you to the vehicle manual, so really useful, anyone tell me if there are any settings for this system? In fact tbh I found the manual confusing and contradictory throughout, on the upside at least a graphic appears when you put it in reverse, it just doesn't seen to react to anything, how close do objects have to be? When I pick the car up on Friday all may become clear or I may back into a low wall.....at least it has a towbar for protection lol.

Test it when you pick it up, my S trim doesn’t have them, but on my wife’s roomster the white monochrome lines appear as you get closer to the obstacle,  I think they appear from maybe 50cm and beep solidly when you get to around 5-10cm I think. She has the swing radio not the bolero though.

Make sure you test them and mention it to the dealer if they’re not working, if you had a picture that may help too

If it don't work you normally see a large yellow ! in the graphic.

With engine off, ignition on and reverse selected, you can get someone to walk around rear with cardboard or themselves to check each sensor.

As mentioned above, quite close, graphics on screen should change line colours to amber / red if I remember.
