My skoda octavia will not unlock pressing unlock button, have to use key into door lock

You may want to update your car profile and tell us what year your car is so I can move this to the correct place. 👍

I'll move it but your profile still shows that you have a Mondeo.

I've done it for you. 👍

Thank you, cheers

Sounds like you need a new batter in the key fob maybe. Do all other systems work on the car and do the internal lights come on OK when you get in ( to check your car battery isn't too low to power the central locking).

Changing the fob battery is pretty easy if you go on YouTube.

Is the red light flashing when you press the button?

Sorry for late reply. Yes red light flashing, but someone said press unlock twice and that works, so thank you all for advice.

You can change it in the infotainment menu if I remember correctly.

Why would my key fob change from one press to two in order to unlock my car?

You can set it for one press on the fob to open drivers door only or set it to open all doors with 2 or 3 presses.
