Satnav ...again

Featured Replies

2018 1.5 tsi dsg with Amundsen.

If I set a destination and successfully drive the route is it possible to then save the route for next time.

As a separate thing I thought the system remembered regular routes used.  I have not quite worked out. how to utilise/access this. Any help would be much appreciated.

On my car when entering Satnav you have a menu including a list of recent journeys, I just select one and it appears. I use it very frequently.

Thanks. for the suggestions.

I have age related interface problems.

varoom.   Thanks,  The Manual I had downloaded back in January 2018 was an earlier wrong version that didn't have the coloured routes option. I have the correct one now.   One interface sorted. I still have difficulty understanding it!

Karock.  Can't find recent "journeys" just recent destinations. In general navigating destinations isn't an issue (I still have a problem remembering how to delete them).  When I try "Routes" it shows there are none saved.

It's the car/user interface that gives me the most problems.

I am seriously considering getting out my old Garmin Zumo 550 (with 2007 mapping), never had a problem with that.

Thanks again

TBH I find that a right pain, is there any way to get the nav to go straight to maps ?

Although, for any real trips I've given up on the Skoda Nav and use google maps via Android auto. I found the builtin nav unreliable and took some weird routes

I still keep a Garmin GPS stuck to my screen for all the functionality missing from built in units.

lol, google maps, waze, here we go maps, some others and the built in nav all available , but the wife still couldn't find the place she was looking for.

The "plan a trip" function and send to car never works and when it does sometimes, it overwrites the previous sent location only the visited locations show up in a  hub and spoke diagram when the built in nav starts up and the place names are all the same, cos the just show the town name

googlemaps is better in that it "remembers" all the places I looked up on the phone

waze and "here I go" don't always show up on the android auto, particularly when looking for them to use...

don't like the tiny screen with massive borders on the android auto nav apps and there is very little config that can be done, they seem to be cut down function versions of the app on the phone...

Going for a driving holiday later in the week so going to be giving them all a good test.  :)
