Engine light is on and have just done a diagnostic. Showing " Fuel volume regulator control circuit open fault....... Any simple things I can check before we take it in?

I thought someone would have replied by now.

Did you have a log of the fault?  Each tool will kind of be better or worse than another.

The machine said what I've written. "Fuel volume regulator control open circuit".....That's pretty much it.....

Welcome @Zakpaddy... unfortunately I think the lack on answers probably reflects a lack of knowledge of faults of this kind.

 

Personally, I'd just be taking it to the dealer to sort out, especially if it is still within warranty.

The fault does seem to imply electrical error, but could be a failed part causing it.

I think it is referring to the fuel pressure sensor.

 

Ideally you should edit your profile to add Model / Year / Engine details to assist any future help.
