Fabia 3 1.0 MPI 2019, speed at 3000rpm in 5th gear.

Featured Replies

Hello people,

Just wanted to ask a quick question to Fabia 3 MPI 1.0 petrol owners: at what speed does it run when in 5th gear at 3000rpm?

Used to own Fabia 2 2008 1.2 HTP, and I remember it ran at about 90kmh at those parameters.

Thinking about buying a series 3 one.

Thanks a bunch!

Dunno, but if I remember on the way to work in the morning Ill check.

The 1.0 TSI can have a 95PS engine with a 5 speed gearbox or a 1.0 TSI with 110 PS and a 6 Speed gearbox.

My 1.2 TSI 90PS with a 5 Speed gearbox will be running at 80 MPH in 5th at 3000 RPM.

Thanks, AG Falco

^^^ Those have a turbo unlike a MPI which has not.

Hi ,

I do not remember the excact speed but in fifth gear at 3000 rpm the Skoda Fabia Mk3 with the 1.0 MPI 75 ps should do something like 90 kph. On long journeys if you travel 110 kph to 120 kph you are looking rpm between 3500-4000 .

Your welcome!

Thank you very much. I would appreciate that a lot.

Apologies for the delay, I forgot yesterday morning, remembered in the evening but forgot to post until now.

So my 2021 1.0 MPi in 5th gear at 3000rpm does exactly 60mph, 3500 is 70mph and 4000 for 80mph.

Hope this helps mate.

Yes, and in my experience is a better engine with more low down torque and higher gearing which means the car will be quieter and better on fuel at speed.

My 1.0 MPI Citigo did 55 MPG last full tank and my 1.2 TSI Fabia did 62 MPG last full tank.

Thanks, AG Falco

Thanks all. I see that 1.0 MPI is has basically the same performance as 1.2 htp.

Thanks a lot!

I realised yesterday why I've been enjoying driving my little 1.0 Mpi having gone from a 2.0 kodiak. It reminds me of my first car which was a 998cc 1976 mini. They both drive/drove like they're on rails. Great fun.
