During my summer holiday this year the sunshade mechanism dislodged off its rails. I was unaware of this at the time especially when i opened the sunroof. The sunshade is now needing some serious repair as parts of it were damaged. Thankfully i was able to close the sunroof which has not been damaged.

 

Can anyone point me in the direction of any assembly diagrams for the sunroof assembly? I would rather fix this myself than let dealer techs anywhere near it.

 

Its a tilt and slide roof, superb hatch.

Sorry to read this has happened. You're not the first, my old S-III hatch suffered the same.

I used to keep the sunshade retracted as I preferred driving with the roof 'cracked' for ventilation vs aircon, but reaching up one day to close it, the damn thing jumped off its rails.

Luckily mine was just in warranty but the dealership took over a week to fix it as some fiddly little screw or clip had vanished.
