No audio on Google maps and phone not working.

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Just lately problems with phone connecting to infotainment and has now developed into total loss of audio direction while navigating on Android auto. Also my phone which connects to the car has stopped receiving / making calls. Phone will select and try to make the call, but I don't hear the bur, bur ringing sound through the loudspeaker.

Audio is ok when using media and radio.

Regards

Well have been trying to resolve this problem since posting and have got the phone working by deleting and restoring the phone to the infotainment system.

My Phone (Motorola Edge 20 Lite) updated to Android 12 last night, and it lost proper streaming connection via Bluetooth to my 63 plate Octavia SE. The Music would play, but I'd not have any display (Track, Artist etc) or Control (Ffwd, Rev, Play Pause etc...)

Tried disconnecting and 'forgetting' bot Phone on the Car and Car on the Phone... Then reconnecting! didn't work...

Found that Android 12 has a new AVRCP version, by Default it's set to 1.5... I went into the Developer menu on my Phone, and set it to 1.4 (which was Android 11's default and worked in my car!) Now it works as before!

Hi Simon thanks for the reply. As I said fixed the phone issue by deleting it and then install again.

This afternoon I have plugged the mobile in and Android auto starts, put my destination in Google maps and start off, again no audio instructions. Pulled in and found in settings on Google maps that audio was muted!.

That was the problem but no one else has driven the car and I've not changed anything.

How I wonder did it happen?

"ALIENS!" 🤔 😁

Sorry... Sounds like a Google Hic-up... I've had various Android Settings "Reset" or "Change" themselves with the upgrade!

I think companies like Google, Microsoft and Apple, just change things when there's an update, for the fun of it!!
