New FL Skoda superb LED matrix headlights~retrofit!

Featured Replies

I have purchased the LED matrix headlights on the new facelift model on ebay, and have begun to install the new LED matrix headlights.

The problem I encountered now makes it impossible for me to continue the installation work. The headlight interface pins on my original car are completely different from the interface pins of the new LED matrix headlights.

I now feel that only briskoda can help me solve the problem. If you know, you can tell me, and of course you can provide service fees to solve this problem.

The original part numbers of the new LED matrix headlights are 3V1941015D&3V1941016D, and I look forward to your assistance.

thanks!

Hi there,

this is not a job of just plugging them in and away you go, even with the correct wiring.

you will need odis at the bare minimum.

on top of that you need to tell us what car you have, year, spec, if you have the lane assist camera and all of that.

My first thought was why would take on something that you haven't fully researched!

Also it would help to state if your car is Preface lift or facelift model?

Here is the a thread which could possibly be of use!

@Waylon - oh dear!!

Wat made u think a LED matrix headlight with sequential indicators would b plug n play with a non-LED non-Matrix non-sequential indicators headlight!?!?!?!

Assuming u have a pre-facelift, have u also purchased the following:-

- new facelift bumper, which includes facelift grille and foglights?

- new AFS module and Light Control Modules (x2) for

- do u have 4B multifunction module?

- do u have the parameter file for the 4B module?

- component protection?

EDIT - I just realised u have a facelift already.

Ignore everything I said above.

There is Level 2 autonomous driving assistance, including a driving assistance camera on the front windshield.

Now the problem that keeps me from completing the installation is the pin definitions of the new LED matrix headlights. Can you help me solve it?

Thank you for your attention

There is a lot more to it than just wiring - I hope you are understanding that? Youll need new datasets and coding.

To get the correct wiring diagrams create an account on erwin. input your vin and pay the £8 fee and download everything you can within the hour window including the full wiring for your vehicle. You will then have all the wiring diagrams to cover everything including your headlights

Thanks for the guide, is it erwin skoda?

In addition, can I contact you directly to help me solve the coding problem, or how is the service fee charged for solving the coding problem?

Yes the site is called erWin Skoda

Input your VIN once signed up, having also purchased an hour fee and download all the PDF's for your car.

I want to try replacing it myself.

It's not that simple to discover, it requires too much professional knowledge.

Thank you for your support.

Thank you so much briskoda and you guys

Thank you for your reminder, I have matched the exterior body and modified it

But what are the specific functions of the modules you mentioned, you can tell me the next, and their part numbers

unfortunately i don't know what modules the facelift superb uses for its headlights.

when i upgraded from bi-xenon headlights to bi-xenon SLA headlights, i had to:-

- change the LCM (light control module - one under each headlight)

- get new parameter file dataset for 4b multi-function module, so the SLA matrix lighting can work

- make code changes to modules 09, A5 and 4B

the headlight wiring was the same - there was no difference in pins, or pin assignments.

OK!

The information you gave has been very helpful to me。

When the LED matrix headlights are completed, upgrade the new LED taillights.

In case u didn't already know, the facelift tailights require:-

- modified wiring harness/connector

- new reverse camera

- new boot handle

- new centre boot trim piece

- code changes

You only need the new boot trim/camera and handle if you are fitting the chrome/black trim pieces. For the lamps themselves you only need custom loom, coding, lamps, new little trim pieces for in the gaps

Sorry, I took a few days off before I saw your message

There is no problem with the appearance hardware at present, just wait for the installation to complete the matching code in the past two days

@JR RSHi there

how can I get the two items you listed?

as i previously mentioned - the steps/instructions i have provided is for the pre-facelift superb.
it will b completely different with ur facelift superb.

with regards to the parameter file - a friend i know here in Oz knows a Skoda mechanic in Estonia, who sourced the parameter from a Superb that came with SLA from factory.  the mechanic sent the parameter file to my friend, who then used his VCP tool to upload the parameter file to my car.

the coding (done via VCDS) instructions i have for modules 09, A5 and 4B is specific to the pre-facelift Superb.

if u still want to try it, at ur own risk, then have a look at my SLA retrofit discussion for details.

@ApertureSHi there!

I would like to know if you can provide the MY19-MY22 remodeled Superb with LED matrix headlight function 09, A5 and 4B module parameter settings and coding files.

it is best to read the saved files through the link ODIS, or provide this service. quote me.

thanks!

Hello,

i bought 2020 front matrix headlights, is there some easy way to put 12 volts on some/which pins to have them tested, if the LEDs are ok please ?

or without connecting them to such car i won't find out much?

thanks

They are mostly done with a power, ground and all switching is done inside the headlight unit via canbus, so would need it connected to test it properly.

If you need to fully test the headlights you buy, you must check the circuit diagram.
I have completed the circuit conversion and coding of the matrix headlights, including the animation effect when the eyelash lights are turned on.
