Location of rear drain exit of sun roof

Featured Replies

Hallo where can I find the exit of the rear drain pipe of the panoramic roof? Thanks

Hi,

You may find this howto post useful,

It states the following:

Quote

Just clearing out the drainage channels made a massive difference in how quickly water emptied from the sunroof surround to the ground via the four drainage point (front two by the door hinges, rear two out the back by the top of the tailgate).

After my second evening, I ended up with this...

That's not what the highlighted quote in the last post said?

Hallo, yes but both the indicated howto and my own inspection beneath the C and D pillars do not show any drain pipe. I know for sure that Tiguan has rear pipes and the sunroof should be exactly the same. "Tailgate" is the trunk door, right? Cannot see any exits there as those ones in the front doors.Thanks.

Ok that makes sense, there is no hole in the trim over the rear wheels so it will probably located over it, need to jet wash some mud before and try to remove the trim. Thanks
