A more detailed explanation of the problem would be a good starting point. For the hotspot function you need a data package. Do you have one?

I am haing same issue and still watting answerrs from Skoda New Zealand...

My issue is you can not turn on the wifi so apple carplay/android auto won't work wirelessly.

I don't remember ever having to enter the Wi-Fi menu or turn it on manually when setting up wireless Android Auto.

I also have the same problem, I can't turn on hotspot and when I turn on wifi I can't find the internet and i can't apple android auto wirelessly.

If your device has mobile data then there is no need to connect to the car’s wifi hotspot. If you activate wifi and hotspot you can’t ‘smartlink’ at the same time, ie CarPlay or android won’t then connect. It’s one or the other. It’s confusing as it sounds like the car can connect to WiFi, but there’s no need if the car already has data package for example if in first year of purchase. So get your data via your phone or the car’s data (if it has it)
