Lol, with Skoda dealers it can be very hard.

I went into my local Skoda dealership last year to buy a new vRS. I had a totally paid off Megane Coup

I had a bit of a nightmare 3 days this weeks trying to order a new fabia vRS while making sure i got a good price on my p/x, then i went to Simpsons in Colne and within about 30 minutes i'd done the deal! :D Just got a 3 month wait now! :eek:

Oh yes you have to buy the car off them and its bloody hard work... most other dealers you go to they sell you the car

See previous threads but basically everything bar sunroof, sat nav and airbag deact. Problem arose cos wanted yellow, First car arrived without extras so reordered, waited for new colour to arrive as old yellow no longer in production by this time, originally given a build date of this week just gone, rang today and told system showing a build date mid August :eek:, paper work showing mid July :eek::eek: dealer rang Skoda UK to try and sort it out, SKUK are now going to chase SKCZ, so will get a definate date monday. IF mid aug stands then del at least 3 weeks later so will have had a 7 month wait. Could probably have got a F430 as quick!

Sorry, i meant the fact your now getting the new yellow seems to be causing the delay... Wouldn't be suprised if they're having trouble with colour matching all the exterior parts and that whats causing the delay...

I work in the automotive paint industry so i know what its like. Can be a pain to match some colours, red is a bitch, only done yellow twice(Ford Screaming Yellow and BMW Liquid Yellow) the BMW one was a pig iirc bit that was mostly down to the paint being ****e!

Mine was a breeze, I walked into Tavistock motors, the main man had opened up so i could see thier Fabia vRS demo car that was due to go on the road (it was October 2003 so only just out then) and after a nice chat to him I bought the car.

Then he asked me if i'd have a look at an Octavia he was having problems with in the workshop..lol

Week 22 of 2006 is the date for the change from Lemon Yellow to Sprint Yellow
