"Loading User Profile"

Featured Replies

I bought a second hand 2020 Scala SEL last month. Its great, except that a few times now, when I start the car, the infotainment system hangs on "loading user profile".  It stays like this for the whole journey, meaning I cannot listen to the radio, use satnav, carplay, change the car settings or anything else.  I have tried repeatedly resetting by holding the power key but the same screen returns.  I have tried turning the car off for 5/10 minutes, getting out and back in, etc but nothing works.

So far, I have found that after I return to my car a few hours later it has resolved.

This is really frustrating.  Does anyone know how to fix this or stop it happening?

I had this on my Octavia before they applied an update which resolved the issue, to get round it I pressed the voice command button on the steering wheel (not sure if the Scala has this button though).

Hi

I had a similar problem with the infotainment system completely locking up.

I put up with it rather annoyingly for 2 years. I mentioned it on my first 2 services and all I got was shrugs from the service manager. Recently I was staying in Weston-super-Mare and I booked a service at their Skoda garage. Their service people were well aware of the problem. They needed the car for an extra day and did a full factory reset of the system. They updated the software and hey presto everything has been perfect for the last 2 months. No more freezing of the screen the reversing camera comes on immediately. The heating controls are all working correctly, the iPhone connects all the time.  My car is a late 2019 SEL Scala.  Lastly Weston Skoda picked up my car from where I was staying and delivered it back when completed, my local garages in Hertfordshire do not or would not offer this service, thank you Heritage Skoda Weston-super-Mare.

Have you registered with Skoda connect services and added your profile and deleted last user

See my reply (Skotastic).

Basically, when it eventually lets you in, find the “restore factory settings”. This will clear everything, and your problem will be gone. How much do you need a profile? At least this solution gives you back your infotainment.
