ABS ECU mystery

Featured Replies

My local garage are really struggling with my Octavia Estate Elegance 4x4 turbo. The ECU has been sent for testing twice and no fault can be found in it. But when it comes back they can't get it to communicate with their computer. They've bled the ABS system a few times and cannot get any "pedal". They're about to try a bleed of the master cylinder. Does this mean anything to anybody? There was a problem before when the ABS/traction control would get a bit shuddery at the end of long journeys. We never solved that and I lived with it by switching off the ABS whenever it arose. But since a repair on the clutch cylinder the situation has got worse, as above. Any thoughts?

Maybe an issue with their computer then?

They've tried various computers, it's been to a couple of their neighbouring garages too and nobody's any the wiser
