Any advice, ACC seems to work as it should in all respects, but the distance selector does not keep to the ‘very close’ setting even though I have box ticked to remember setting. It seems to change if it’s own accord to random distances. 

Maybe it ur Driving Profiles.

 

The Driving Profiles affect the ACC distance, and resume to speed characteristics.

Hence in Comfort Mode - it will b in no hurry to close the gap, or accelerate to the set speed in any hurry.

In Normal mode - it won't waste time.

In Sports mode - it will super quick.

 

 

In my experience, 'very close' can vary depending on speed, i.e. the faster you are travelling, the bigger the gap even on very close.

I accept that - but why should ‘very close’ change to a totally different setting. 

On mine, I sometime lose the setting. The box 'remember last setting' gets something unticked on its own for a reason I don't catch. It may happen once or twice a year...

Ah - ok thanks for that will monitor it . I think it’s happened on a few long trips , obviously i only use ACC on dual carriageways / motorways.
