  1. Hi, it can be a bit tricky but you have done what you need to do by removing the x2 torx bolts. You next need to hold the light unit itself firmly with your left hand (if the unit is the right hand one) then try to get the very end of your right hand finger tips at the front edge of the light unit where it meets the exterior bodywork. Whilst ‘wiggling’ the rear of the light try to ease the front backwards towards you with your finger tips. There is a small locating tab which you can’t see which keeps the front edge of the light secure. Difficult to explain but make sure you’re pulling unit directly towards you, don’t be tempted to pull it to the side.
  2. With my 2019 Superb 2.0 L&K estate I find that as soon as I indicate to start the overtake, before I even steer out of the lane I’m in the car starts to accelerate- I have it set in programme to sport which helps greatly in speeding up the overtake, very little if any lag. If the ACC setting is set to normal the overtake seems very slow by comparison.
  3. I have used WD40 on mine for a number of years, it seems to have maintained the silver/chrome look to good effect. Unless I have just been lucky of course.
  4. Hi, yes I have had the same issue. Happens quite randomly but I can’t identify what the reason for it is. When I check the settings after it has happened the ‘remember last settings’ box is unticked. Mine is a 2019 2.0 litre L&K estate. Very annoying !
  5. Ah - ok thanks for that will monitor it . I think it’s happened on a few long trips , obviously i only use ACC on dual carriageways / motorways.
  6. I accept that - but why should ‘very close’ change to a totally different setting.
  7. Any advice, ACC seems to work as it should in all respects, but the distance selector does not keep to the ‘very close’ setting even though I have box ticked to remember setting. It seems to change if it’s own accord to random distances.
  8. Not sure what if any difference it makes but my use every day set I don’t use ‘actively’. I never press the buttons on the fob to lock/unlock the car or open the boot. I use the sensor on door handle to lock & unlock drivers door with my thumb & open the boot access with the foot sensor under the bumper. On that basis I guess all the fobs have the same ‘practical’ use which may account for the batteries expiring at about the same 2 1/2 year time scale.
  9. Sorry to hear about your ongoing issues. On the subject of key fob battery longevity. I have x3 keys from new on my 2019 Superb L&K 2.0 estate. One I use day in day out & keep in a Faraday Pouch, the second I keep in tin foil inside a metal tin in the drawer in the hall & never use, the third is just kept on a hook at my sons house without any cover & again is never used. All three ran out of power at about the same time give or take a couple of weeks. ( about 2 1/2 years old ). It would seem to confirm the fob is transmitting even if it’s not been received by the car.
  10. I got x3 sets of keys for my 2019 Superb Estate L&K when I bought it from new. All x3 sets ran out of battery at the same time ( give or take a week or so) after just over 3 years. I only ever used 1 set which I kept in a Faraday pouch when not in use. The second set lived in a Faraday pouch in a safe at home in a safe, the last set my son has in a draw at his home about 3 miles away (not in a Faraday pouch & never used in the car). I think certainly from my experience it hasn’t mattered where I kept them or how often (or not) I used them the batteries expired at virtually the same time.
  11. Hello, I too have never had any such notification in the 3 years I have owned my Superb III - I have just renewed Skoda Connect ( mad I know according to most on here) but will let you know if I get any ‘out of area notifications’. It renews on 25th June.
  12. I am sure that I read in the owners manual that if you have the wipers set to the auto rain setting in the info entertainment system then that disables the Adaptive Headlight Setting. That may be the cause, try it again when it’s not raining, or turn the auto rain setting off. Hope you get it sorted.
  13. The only thing I would suggest is at step 2 a short press & instant release, don’t hold for any length of time. Other than that I can’t suggest anything else.
  14. I also leave mine in situ, connected to a CTEK 7.0 MXS charger via the extension lead through lounge top window & into the estate boot into the 12v socket in the cargo area. Absolutely no issues, the lead on the CTEK extension cable is narrow enough that I can secure the car & the lead has enough ‘slack’ not to pinch. Battery always fully charged but never over charged. 👍
