Headlights

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. Hope you are all good.
when I got my 2017 Superb a few months back I noticed the headlights turned slightly when steering along roads, not the cornering light but the actual beam patterns went left and right - this seems to have stopped now and I don’t know why. I can’t find a setting and there are no stored faults. Any ideas?
cheers.

When you switch them on, do they do the set-up dance, so they go left, down, right etc.?

I don’t believe mine go left or right when dancing. Only up and down.

it should go left/right and up/down.

if not, something is not right with ur lights.

also, is ur Light Assist function active?  u can check in the infotainment screen.

Hi. Thanks for the replies. Yes, when they come on they ‘scan’ around and settle in the middle.
I have searched the menus but will have another look. Thanks again.

Sounds like they’re working then?

But when I turn the wheel now they stay rigid. Before the beam pattern would move left and right accordingly.

They won't do the bendy twisty thing if you're in eco mode, or individual mode with lights set to eco in the settings

or if you turned them on. They need to be set to Auto, I believe.

This is correct. Mine steer in bends in "auto", but not in "on".

Yep, they don’t work with lights in Eco mode. I don’t understand the point of it really.

Hi. Yes they do move when switched on but nothing whilst driving and no option the menu. I had a software update not that long ago for a battery drain issue and I wonder if that has affected it as nothing else has been done other than it being driven. I have been out of action for a while due to a health issue and haven’t driven for a bit. So I think I need to head back to my dealer and raise it.

thanks for your time replying.

I just noticed in the "Individual" settings there's a setting for Lighting Assistance....can choose between "normal" and "sport".  Mine was set to normal.  Have changed to sport.....not sure what they will do?

Setting the Lights to Sport simply means that it will b "more dynamic than Normal" with its reactions.
