It will. Dont know about the modern heating film layer (only have experience since 2019), but my previous Superb, 2014 make and done about 460 000 km, works flawlessly for my friend, who owns it now.

Still, wired heating, as on Superb, is more efficient, than the film layer option.

 

Thats good to hear.  I was moaning to the AutoGlass fitter about how easily my screen seems to have broken and his response is just "they're all like that now, don't make 'em as good as they used to.  It's about weight saving...".
