No in situ revving it up. 

Measuring with an analog thermometer the temperature on the expansion tank was 90c.

The original was yellow 

Finally got the system to work properly. 

I used a 

87-79

93-85 thermoswitch. 

The system now works on first speed at 95 and cuts off at 88

So yeah the delta is 8 kelvin. 

If you want it to run let's say at 90c

You have to choose a 82c thermoswitch. 

To find the real operating temperature of the vehicle just add 8 to the temperature of the thermoswitch. 

That was the trick.

Maybe keep the other switch for summer when ambient temps are higher and the delta may be rather less. 🙂

Mahle has a 5 'C gap for example 75-70, 80-85, 85-90 etc.

It's 85-93 'C, not good for our climate here.

Yes I got away with a 2 speed vernet I sourced locally.
