The yellow peril as now got a build date for mid July confirmed by Skoda uk/cz today. Extra delay as been caused by colour change and how orders for new colour have been sequenced by factory. Dealer:thumbup: are honouring their trade in on old car (despite mot/tax running out end of June) and providing a coutsey car (vRS ) from this time 'till new car arrives, even agreed to register new car 1st sept rather than when it arrives, (expected mid aug.) Despite having ordered the car Feb 1st I think it will be well worth waiting for, and whilst the wait and problems caused by the factory have been frustrating to say the least, I would still be happy to recomend the dealer, Simpsons, Colne and thanks to Dave and Helen for their honesty and efforts:thumbup: (Just hope the factory get the spec right this time:P

How come your sprint yellow has taken so long? I called my dealer today to check up on the progress of mine and it is built and awaiting dispatch apparantly so he reckoned about a month till I can have it, so hopefulyl be getting it mid july although may wait till 1st aug to save half a months tax but then will i be able to wait knowing that i could be spending nice sunny days ina sprint yellow furby

Assuming you have a vRS on order, why wait til August, just to save

New plates are worth the wait, it's too close to ignore, saving money-wise is marginal true but the resale value would make up for that.

Also the dealer is providing a loaner of good quality (I hope ) and in that case, why not

Kudos to the dealership in this case, shows they actually deserve the business

According to dealer skuk where in touch with skcz and it was because of the spec ordered and how skcz wanted to sequence the cars ordered by spec rather than actual order date, who knows why:confused: They managed to get it moved up as soon as poss anyway to guarentee sept 1st or earlier so said Iwould wait till 1st for sake of a week or two if dealer would let me keep loaner for this time. Simpsons:thumbup: agreed, Hope Skoda are going to compensate Simpsons cos they can't be making much with deal they did and providing a loaner for 2 months, and it was Skoda who ccoked up original order and then moved replacement back in line afaik. Anyway like I said before with a bit of luck it means the stutter will be fixed and the wrinkly seats and.............

Yeah hopefully stutter will get sorted soon enough, just keeping fingers crossed that i dont have any problems, but at end of day gonan be better than any other car i have ever owned, mkIII escort, 2x Peugeot 205 and now a fiesta xr2i. Gonna be so worth the wait.

Good Point Ant, for the sake of a tener i may as well get it in july if the opportunity is there, can run it in quicker and well worth the tenner tbh.

It's good to hear you have a coutesy car to use while yours is awaiting delivery, shame I just have my fiesta to run around for a month or so, then try and sell :(
