vRS Owners, cars with a VAQ front diff, a question on the servicing and what you are being told at Skoda Main Dealerships?

Featured Replies

My local Skoda (and Cupra) dealer said it's not two years but three when dropping the VRS off for it's two year service.

@Hairy_Joe Maybe that is how it has stayed in the EU.

Or maybe they should call a friend.

Was that the Service Desk staff that told you or a Master Tech?

They should know, and if the car is not driven hard then best do what they recommend, just as long as the person understands that it is a VAQ and not  Haldex /4x4.

It was the service desk. I'll follow what they recommend as it will always be serviced there.

Anyway, we always gotten good service at this dealer for well over the past 14 years with at least 7 cars bought there by family members. They also know I'm fairly awkward and they know NOT to wash my cars......

@varooom was a great loss to this forum. Much knowledge and not appreciated enough like many that were here and techs and trained and qualified in Mechanical Engineering, electronics and the rest. Motor car stuff.

My Skoda dealer never mentioned it until I asked about it and they said oh yes every 2 years!

When they told me oil change only via top up/drain plugs, I took it to a VAG registered indy who removed pump , checked strainer and renewed “o” rings.
