Bound To Happen, Apparently

Just spoke to dealer. They've told me that they would not upload 1896 as a warranty measure unless there is a specific fault with the car, despite me quoting the TPI. "It's not like Apple where updates are rolled out as a matter of course. we only apply them when they're required"!! Told them about my ACC braking when passing stuff on the left and they said that they would need to test it to ensure there's a fault, despite me telling them. More or less calling me a liar. Apparently if they find no fault and I want 1896 I'll have to pay for it!!

Blimey, they are hard work these dealers sometimes.  Let's hope you can get it sorted.

I do actually have the update if you give up with them, and all else fails for 1896.

Many thanks varooom, I will bear that in mind (although installing it may well be beyond my capabilities)!. My next move is to have someone video the ACC playing up on the M6!
