I have a P1065 Fuel Pressure Regulation Discrepancy Fault Code and associated 'into limp mode' problems. This comes at the end of a long saga of a breakdown in Italy ending eventually with a new high pressure fuel pump. 

My mechanic now reckons that the 'base parameters now need resetting' (his words) and he doesn't have a dedicated VAG scanner to do the job.

So can anyone out there recommend a person/garage that has AVAG scanner and could do this for me (Bolton - Bury - Manchester area).

I have a VCDS lead for older cars here on The Wirral but don't know enough yet about the detail of addressing your queries. However, if you can find out exactly what to tell VCDS we may be able to stumble through

That's very kind of you. Apologies for not replying sooner but I've been very ill (again - bl**dy cancer). Thankfully the problem has now (finally) been sorted 🤞 

Well, the fuel pressure problem that began in Italy on 16 August '22 and that has cost far too much (my mechanic is good but on this occasion he went down the wrong rabbit hole) 

Took it to Eddie at CRD Performance, Bolton. Whatever dark-arts diagnostic and repair black magic he weaved has worked! Smooth as silk and goes like a rocket!
