You can do it with Carista.

It will also allow you to adjust the brightness.

I'm guessing you want the tail lights and not the number plate lights as well. If you do want the whole lot, Carista will do that too. It's called Scandinavian DRLs or something.

.

You are correct Phutters as I have just done this on my Karoq Sportline and it works

This is one of the first things I had a go at when I got my Karoq, I’ve used Carista for years and took it for a spin in the Karoq, I found ‘Scandinavian Mode’ and activated it and it did what I wanted (activated rear running light’s permanently) but the downside is that the LED headlights are also permanently on which I didn’t like the idea of so I disabled it again.

I've never seen that happen and I've used Scandinavian mode in all the Skodas I've owned. Did you use a one touch button to activate them, or did you use coding, I'm not familiar with carista I use obdeleven or vcds myself. I leave the switch in auto.

Thanks to all you guys for the info and feedback.

Sorted.

I just need 'Scandinavian' mode switched on to achieve what I wanted.

Hello. I have activated Scandinavian mode using Carista aiming for the tail lights to switch on with the Daytime Running Lights. However this also activates the sidelights too. Is it possible for to configure it with Carista so the back lights switch on with DRLs but the sidelights don't? Or do I need a different tool?

For what it's worth, I have the model with Halogen sidelights and headlights.

Maybe this page will help, I recommend activating both options.

Thanks for the link. I don't want to deactivate the Daytime Running Lights, just the side/parking lights (when the switch is in position 0)

The on/off option on the radio is helpful when we need to quickly check or code something on the car. If you don't want your lights to drain your battery too quickly or too much, this is a good solution and a quick solution....
