Hi, there are lots of posts on how to stop a Yeti glove box opening but not one that suggests how to open one that is jammed shut.

There seems to be a disconnect between the handle and the latch, I cannot get at the mechanism to repair it as the screws to remove the glove box are behind the shut door!

Any idea anybody?    

So are you and I the only folk to have experienced this - mine jammed last night and not been able to get into it since !?

This is not a fix but may help.

I had this problem about a year ago on my 2017 Yeti. It was fixed under extended warranty. The fix was done very quickly on a passing visit and on collection I was able to discuss it with the tech. I explained that I had removed the dash side-panel to try to gain access without any joy. He told me that that was not necessary but instead, if it happens again, I should peal back the narrow trim immediately above the box from the door-end to reveal a slot where a narrow tool (screwdriver or such) could be inserted to free the compartment. It happened again a couple of days ago. The trim pealed back very easily and I can see a very narrow slit about 1 CM wide but cannot get anything into it. He may have meant to use one of the holes that the trim attaches to but access is very tight and I haven't been able to make any progress. (The glove box was almost empty - so nothing snagging, contents-wise).

I'd be very grateful to hear if anyone has resolved this as I can't find any information anywhere.

If you take out the air vent above the glovebox near the window, you can see the mechanism. All you need to do is pull out the plastic gear bits and the glove box should open. Then you can release the screws at the top of the glove box and can get to the mechanism to put it back together

I had the same problem but I cant remember how I eventually opened it. However once opened I remember having to open out the opening device arm with an 8MM drill as advised by someone on this forum. The shaft was sticking in the plastic mount which stopped it opening. Touch of Vaseline on reassembly and haven't had an issue since. Hope this helps
