Is There an SD Card in the Octavia Mk IV?

Featured Replies

I just updated my car to an Octavia Mk IV from a 2014 Octavia. I notice that in the Sat-Nav that several restaurants are shown that have LONG been out of business and that several speed limits are out-of-date. The Skoda Update Portal seems to show that I can update the data with an SD card (as the older sat-navs did) but I can't find an SD card in the car and the manual doesn't mention one. Does the Mk IV Octavia have a card, and if so where is it? Or is it all over-the-air now?

Most likely the guide is not updated, iirc you can update from a USB stick "offline" so to speak.  You need to extract the files into the root of the USB stick, insert and leave it a day or two.  Ideally see if you can get some map information from it to compare before/after.

Hopefully someone will confirm this is the case for them now, if there was an SD slot, it would be inside glovebox.

Nav updates are going on over the air. But you need all premium crap from skoda if you want what navigation working good. You need to buy: traffication and infotainment online. This is not for unlimited time. You need to pay time by time. This is crap. I suggest you use google or waze. Database is a lot better than skoda nav

Many thanks!

Hi guys,

Is this procedure supposed to work on Bolero without the SatNav(Columbus) enabled?

My current version of Navigation database is 21.2, based on the details from System information.

Thx
