Glow plug flashes

Featured Replies

If my car is above 1000 rpm it’s fine but if it drops below it does a little shudder then the glow plug light comes on flashing.I put my reader on and it comes up with a fuel pressure to high pending code anybody any ideas?

Maybe someone will know if you actually print the reader type and the fault code.

You’ll need to tell us the full fault code and description.

also if you’re using a cheap scanner you run the risk of it either not telling you the correct code or instead giving you a generic code and not a detailed vehicle specific code.

flashing glow plug light is very similar to an engine management light and if it’s misfiring like it sounds like it may be, then get it looked at asap - misfires if left can cause a lot of damage to an engine

Don’t think Ile get much help here if I need to put up a p0088 code for high fuel pressure but cheers anyway and using autel elite 👍

Well it was certainly more descriptive and accurate than "fuel pressure to high pending".

You seem to have made your mind up over the competence and knowledge of the forum contributors so I wish you luck finding your ideas elsewhere.

It’s running great no misfire whatsoever thanks

I mean, that doesnt sound like its running great... and just because you cant feel a harsh misfire doesnt mean it isnt, minor misfires over a long period of time can cause problems - thats why the knock sensors are constantly monitoring tiny vibrations and bringing a flashing light on

True, but arguing as a new member won't make you many 'friends' - best to just move on and stick with trying to solve the problem you asked about.
