VRS MK1 Idle Fluctuations

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a 2003 Fabia VRS with engine code ASZ.
The problem is idle drops from 900 to 800 then back to 900, roughly once a second, maybe 2 seconds.
It tends to only do this once engine is above 60 degrees. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Have you checked the torson value is close to 0/0.5? Some garage don't check this after a cambelt change?

When was the cambelt last done… could be the tensioner?

Turns out it was the cambelt afterall. Tension was waaay off on the old belt, new belt/tensioner & waterpump fitted today has fixed this. Thanks for your replies :)
