Hi all, new to this forum having been a happy Roomster owner for 5 months now and very impressed with its practicality. The only thing I need advice on though is VERY poor dipped beam headlamp performance! Any thoughts or recommendations will be greatfully received! Thanks in anticipation!

If you have the round projector style headlights, then most will retrofit a HID kit to get past the two candles in the wind.

The alternative is fit something like Osram Night breaker bulbs, not as good as changing the lights, but better than standard bulbs.

 

To change the bulbs, lift bonnet, undo the large rubber caps, reach in and undo.  The trick is to not grab the outer tabs (they don't turn) but anticlockwise turn those on back of bulb, it's only about quarter turn

I also found that cleaning the oxidised headlamps made a HUGE difference.

 

I used a packet of specialist wipes, cost around £10 from memory.
