MIB2 Box not coming out

Hi All, I’m currently in the process of wiring a subwoofer into my Skoda. I need to take the mib box in the glove compartment out, however it only slides about an inch out and feels like the wires are too short to slide it all the way out. Please can you advise on how to sort this, I just need access to the front speaker wires to tap in a RCA adapter.
