New Rims, but will Tyres transfer?

Featured Replies

Hi all hope you're well

Pretty new to Cars so bare with me but looking at putting some new Calibre Vintage mesh wheels the size is,

7x16, PCD 5x112, Centre bore 73.10 offset 35.00

and I have a 2010 mk2 Skoda Octavia estate 1.6TDI with bridgestone 205/55/R16 6.5Jx16 tyres.

would these Rims fit my Skoda and would the tyres be transferable even tho they are 6.5 ??

plz help thank youu x

Yes, you can move the existing tyres onto the new wheels.  You're stretching them a bit more over the rims, so the ride might be a bit harder.

The centre bore of the wheels is much too large for the car.  Yours will be 57.1 mm so you'd have to fit spigot rings.  Also an ET of 35mm is outside the recommended range of 45-49mm.

The Octavia MK2 fits its 205/55R16 tyre size to a 6.5Jx16 ET50 5/112 57.1 rim.

@SchtumThank you so much that is super helpful, is ET like offset ? and Is being outside the ET a bad thing or will it mean I'll just have more tyre sticking out ?

Thank you again

Or sticking in. Either way, there is a possibility of tyres striking bodywork and/or suspension.
