Hello, could you please write PM to me and send me software for update? I've already obtained MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P0080L MU8755 from another source but unfortunately I have error "Source signature could not be verified" - I've tried to update software with SD card and did fat32 before that
If you have some tips please let me know :)

That is it, your is even older then mine. I read a lot of people with MU 8190 couldn't update their firmware to 8755. And as I know there is no public available any firmware for our units...

what skoda is it?

Hi,

I’m from Spain and I have a Škoda Fabia III 2019 with Swing / MIB2 Entry.

My unit details are:

Part number: 6V0 035 871 J
Hardware: 690
Current software: 8740
Android Auto: S1.3_A8740
CarPlay: 210.81

My current train should be MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P7381L.

I’ve seen that the firmware MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P0080L_8755 is used to fix CarPlay / Android Auto issues on Fabia units, but before installing anything I would like to confirm if it is safe and compatible with my exact unit.

Could someone please confirm whether MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P0080L_8755 would work on a Spanish/European Fabia with part number 6V0 035 871 J?

Also, is there any risk because my car is from Spain, or is the firmware valid for European Škoda units in general?

Could you also confirm the correct installation method? Do I only need to copy the firmware files to a FAT32 USB drive, connect it to the car, go to “Update software” on the infotainment screen, and start the update from there?
Thank you very much.

hi i cant guarantee anything as i am not techy. if you would like the files/document walkthrough message me/inbox me on here

Hi,

I wanted to share the final solution in my case, because maybe it will help someone with the same problem.

My car is a 2017 Skoda Kodiaq with the Swing / MEN2 unit. My unit details were:

  • Software train: MEN2_EU_SKGPx_P6473L

  • Installed MU version: 8170

  • Device part number: 565 035 871

  • Hardware: 612

  • Software: 8170

  • Bluetooth version: C160

  • SmartLink application: 0043

The problem was that after patching/unlocking the EEPROM, SmartLink was still not working correctly. I originally thought the EEPROM patch itself might be the full solution, but in my case it was not enough.

The missing part was the FEC/SWaP codes. The EEPROM was unlocked/patched, but the required FEC codes for SmartLink were not added to the unit.

I do not know exactly how to add FEC codes myself. I know there are people offering this service for a fee, for example through online adverts, and I used one of those services. After the FEC codes were added properly, SmartLink started working.

So in my case the solution was:

  1. EEPROM unlock / patch

  2. Add the correct FEC/SWaP codes for SmartLink

Before that I also tried firmware update routes, but my unit had MU 8170 and I was getting the error:

“Source signature could not be verified”

So the firmware update was not the real fix in my case. The important part was that the FEC codes were missing after the EEPROM unlock.

Maybe this helps someone with MEN2.

Hallo,

In meinem Fall lautete die Lösung also:

  1. EEPROM-Entsperrung / Patch
